Disclaimer

PesaQuest, by Moski, is an educational game. Please read this before you play.

In short: everything in PesaQuest is a simulation for learning. The money, prices, returns, salaries, taxes, news and brand names you see are not real unless we explicitly say otherwise.

1. Learning purposes only

PesaQuest teaches money skills through play. All figures — including asset prices, interest and dividend rates, salaries, tax and statutory deductions, loan terms, market news and events — are simulated or simplified for teaching. They may differ from real-world values, rules and rates, and they change as the game evolves.

2. Not financial, investment, tax or legal advice

Nothing in the game, in pesAI (our AI guide), in quests, courses, calculators or leaderboards is financial, investment, tax, legal or employment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Before making real financial decisions, speak to a licensed professional, such as a CMA-licensed adviser, and check the current rules with the relevant authority (for example KRA, SHA, NSSF or CBK).

3. Virtual currency has no real value

Ksh, balances, net worth, "Money Mined", XP and rewards inside the game are virtual. They cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for real money, or used to trade real securities. No real money is invested, earned or lost by playing the game itself. The only exception is an Official Competition (see section 8), where a paid Ticket and real prizes are involved and are clearly stated on that competition's page.

4. Brand names and third parties

Where the game mentions real organisations, products or brands — for example banks, mobile-money services, retailers or government instruments — they appear only to make the learning relatable. All trademarks and names belong to their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners, and the figures shown are illustrative, not their real offers, prices or rates. Where a partnership or sponsorship is real, it is clearly labelled as such.

5. Accuracy

We work to keep the educational content sound, but we make no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. Use the game to build understanding, then verify real-world details from official sources.

6. Corrections and take-down requests

If you represent a brand or organisation and believe something in the game is inaccurate or should be changed, please email hello@moski.org and we will review it promptly.

7. Young players

PesaQuest is used by learners of different ages, including in schools. Parents, guardians and teachers should treat it as a classroom-style learning tool, not a financial service.

8. Official Competitions, Tickets and prizes

From time to time Moski runs Official Competitions, sometimes backed by sponsors. These are the one place where real money can be involved: some require a paid Ticket (shown in Kenya shillings on the competition page, paid by M-Pesa) and some offer real prizes. Everything that applies to an Official Competition — price, dates, how rankings and ties are decided, the prizes, any sponsor activity required to claim a prize, and the claim deadline — is published on that competition's own page before you enter. Entering means you accept those rules. A Ticket is refunded if a competition is cancelled or you cannot be admitted. Outside an Official Competition, nothing in the game has real monetary value. Sponsor names, logos and products shown in a competition appear by agreement with their owners. Competitions open to minors require a parent or guardian's consent to any payment.
